We Celebrated Together at the
Avenue of the Arts Hotel
Friday, June 5th, 2026

175 guests from the Newport-Mesa Community helped
raise $158,000 to support our programs.

and host for our celebration

It was a wonderful evening of celebration. We heard from Mary Cappellini, SOY Executive Director, who shared that SOY was able to give out incredible scholarships totaling $319,000 to 51 students and alumni this year, its 33rd year of operations.

We also heard from two SOY alumni who shared how SOY changed their lives.

With the cocktail reception, silent auction, live auction and raise the paddle,
after a wonderful dinner and program, our guests were able to enjoy the evening
and help support SOY.
